Zoltan Torkos, a local Santa Cruz surfer, may have just won himself a cool $10k for landing a kickflip above the lip of the wave on his surfboard and capturing it on video. Torkos pulled off the epic trick this morning at Steamer Lane.
Since November 21, 2007, Volcom has been running a contest looking for someone to “document a cleanly landed kickflip on a surfboard”. After more than four years of attempts, I think we have a winner.
